The Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala, has met Adeyemi Sikiru Bamidele, a 14-year-old boy, who built a 3D architectural design of a building with waste products.
Sikiru, a resident of Fadeyi Area in the LCDA, is a Jss1 student at Jibowu Junior High School, Lagos State.
While receiving Sikiru in his office on Friday August 21, 2020, the LCDA Chairman motivated him and shared his experience with him.
Commending the boy’s skill, Hon Ajala further initiated a support scheme to improve Sikiru’s skill.
“I must sincerely commend you for this design. This is pure creativity,” Hon Ajala said.
“We must further encourage you to do more of this and support you within our capacity.
“This is what we stand for. We are committed to identifying young talent and ensuring they achieve their goals in life,” the Chairman added.
According to Sikiru, he spent not less than 5 months on the construction of the building.
The young talent made several designs, using waste from cartons, sticks, compact disc and many others.
Sikiru’s work was projected on an educational WhatsApp platform named “Edusphere”, by Mr Mustapha Yakub.
The educational platform is aimed at identifying young talents, promoting quality education and reward excellent academic performance among students within the LCDA.
