Southern Ijaw Students Union Commends Hon. Preye Influence for Payment of Bursary

The Federated Union of Southern Ijaw Students has commended Hon. Preye Influence Oseke, member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency, over the second phase bursary payment to deserving students from his constituency.

While expressing their delight in a statement signed by its President, Comrade Ekubo Jeremiah Patrick, the union praised the lawmaker for his positive disposition towards the plight of students from his constituency.

“Let me on behalf of the leadership and critical stakeholders of the Federated Union of Southern Ijaw Students heartily appreciates a proactive and performing congressman, Hon. Preye Influence Goodluck Oseke, for commencing the second phase payment of annual bursary to deserving students of the area in tertiary institutions of learning across Nigeria,” comrade Patrick said in a statement.

“Dating far back as the last decade, Hon. Oseke’s positive disposition towards the plight of students has remained an unending song in the lips of my predecessors. Hence, I am constrained to, even in the early days of my regime, unequivocally express the collective gratitude of the entire Southern Ijaw students community to you for the uncommon educational investment you have made in the lives of our teeming youths in a sustained manner,” the Union president added.

“Against the backdrop of the foregoing, FUSIS, under my able leadership, is poised to close ranks with your office in not just guaranteeing the welfare of students, but also create job opportunities for our young graduates as it has been the experience of many within your short period in office,” he said.

“It is the collective resolve and prayer of all Southern Ijaw students that the federal lawmaker continue to soar higher to project and protect the thoughts and aspirations of our people via qualitative representation in the Green Chamber,” he prayed.
