Lagos State Urges Schools to Comply with Directive on Mid-Term Break

Lagos State Ministry of Education has urged all schools in the state to comply with the directive on the stipulated dates for the midterm break.

This was contained in a circular released through the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), Ministry of Education, on Tuesday February 21, 2023.

The circular reminds Stakeholders that the mid-term break for the 2nd term of the 2022/ 2023 academic session will hold between Friday 24th to February 3rd March, 2023.

According to the ministry, no school is expected to deviate from the plan “contained in the Harmonized academic calendar for the 2022/2023 session amended as approved by the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo.”

“This is subject to directives from the Federal and State Government,” the circular stated.

“Please note that compliance is mandatory for all schools below tertiary level in the state while emergency preparedness and safety procedures should be in place.

“Also schools and parents are enjoined to follow the Lagos State Government social media handles for more information,” OEQA stated.
