Buhari Orders Probe of JAMB former Registrar over Poor Remittances

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered an investigation of of the former Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) over what it described as poor remittances. ‎

Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who briefed the Federal Executive Council (FEC) about the performances of some government agencies, said JAMB for the first time remitted N5 billion to the coffers of the government with a balance of N3 billion still to be remitted compared to maximum N3 million per annum remitted in the past.

Adeosun told State House Correspondents after the meeting presided over by President Buhari, that JAMB in July announced the remittance of N5 billion to the Federal Government which happens to be the highest so far in the last 40 years of its existence.
