More than 1.2 million candidates sat for the examination, which commenced nationwide on Thursday, April 11.

Below is a roundup of top stories on JAMB results.

Fresh Update On Cancelling Of 2019 UTME Results
Half of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results may be canceled by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in some states.

And according to Premium Times, an official tied to the examination body, who requested anonymity to be able to discuss JAMB’s delay in releasing results, revealed that massive malpractice was recorded during the examination.

Real Reason We’re Yet To Release UTME 2019 Results – JAMB
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has attributed the delay in releasing the results of the April UTME to the desire of the board “to clean up the system”.

Concise News reports that while speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, the board’s Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said the results were ready and secured under JAMB’s custody.

According to him, the board is holding onto it to ensure that those who committed infractions are not allowed to go unpunished.

He said, “Our not releasing the results is not as a result of any challenge at all. It is due largely to the fact that we want to clean up the system. Nigerians should cooperate with us, Nigerians should support us and Nigerians should even celebrate what we are doing.”

JAMB Gives Candidates Instruction
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed candidates who sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to guard their profile code and registration details well. This, for their own good, as it is what they are going to use to check their result when it is eventually released.

Concise News reports that the board said unscrupulous individuals were on the prowl to defraud unsuspecting candidates.

JAMB’s Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, gave this advice yesterday in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Also, he said the board had secured the conviction of three persons who were arrested for impersonation during the examination.

And that is our compilation of top stories on JAMB results. Be assured that you can get updates on Concise News. See you soon!
