Dauda Salau Emerges New UIAA Lagos Chairman

Mr. Dauda Folaranmi Salau has emerged the Chairman of the Lagos branch of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association.

Mr. Dauda, who will hold the position for two years, was elected into the position on Sunday 16th February, 2020.

Salau was elected at a gathering of former University of Ibadan students in Lagos, following the nomination and electoral process at its general meeting held on Sunday.

In his acceptance speech, Salau, a graduate of linguistics, appreciated the gathering for the confidence reposed in him to steer the leadership of the association.

While commending the efforts of his predecessor, Mr. Shina Odugbemi, he solicited the support of all members in moving the association branch forward.

Other executives who emerged as winners as announced by the Electoral body Chairman, Mr. Joseph Uchea and Secretary, Mr. Tokunbo Salako are as follows, Mr. Michael Popoola (General Secretary), Mr. Stephen Alayande (Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Dele Olaoye (Treasurer), Mr. Femi Adenifuja (Financial Secretary), Mr. Noah Osifeso (Social Secretary), Mr. Tobi Austin (Public Secretary).

Members admonished the new executives to hit the ground running and most importantly, work assiduously for the progress of the association.
