Kogi State University School of Health Sciences Shut Down Over Accreditation

The Kogi State government in agreement with Kogi State University school management has shut down Kogi State University school of health sciences for lack of accreditation after two years of its establishment by the past Gov Idris Wada.

The school of health sciences was abandoned by this present government. Two years after its establishment, the present government didn’t give the required attention and funding making the university to fail in gaining accreditation from NUC.

Gov Bello in Lokoja, Friday, during a courtesy visit by the medical students and along side with the school management gave full scholarship through the transfer of 25 medical students to Usman Dan Fodio university, sokoto, Ebonyi State university and University of Ilorin for continuation of their academic exercise, giving room for a final shut down of the school of health sciences.

In view of this, the school management was encouraged to put all necessary requirements in place that will guarantee successful accreditation for Kogi State University school of health sciences.
