LASU FCMS Re-elects Prof Sunday Olayinka as Dean of Faculty

The Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Lagos State University has re-elected Prof Sunday Olayinka as the Dean of the Faculty.

The was discloses by the institution Centre for Information and Public Relations (CIPR) on Tuesday February 21, 2023.

According to CIPR, Olayinka was re-elected on Monday.

“The election was conducted at the News Room, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies of the University,” CIPR said.

CIPR reliably gathered that the election had a total number of Twenty – Seven (27) eligible voters, Twenty (20) voters, voted both physically and online and Six (6) were unavoidably absent.

The election also recorded one (1) void. Twenty (20) out of Twenty – one (21) votes cast, were in favour of Prof. Sunday Olayinka Alawode.

The Faculty and Returning Officer, Mrs. Titilola N. Ogunshote after the election, declared Prof. Sunday Olayinka Alawode the winner of the election.

Prof. Alawode emerged the Dean, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies for a second term of another two (2) years.

His first term in office would lapse on Friday, 3rd March 2023.
