As part of contributions to help fight coronavirus, the Management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has donated 470 cartons of milk each to Oyo and Osun States.

This was disclosed on Tuesday 14 April, 2020 by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Olalekan Fadeyi,

According to him, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Michael Ologunde, made the donations to the two states.

He said that the gesture was aimed at expediting recovery of COVID-19 patients in the two states.

He added that the university donated the milk, because COVID-19 patients would need protein.

Speaking at the delivery of the items in Ibadan, Ologunde said, “The management of the institution is excited at the turn of events for Governor Seyi Makinde, who tested positive for coronavirus and recovered speedily.”

While in Osogbo, the vice-chancellor who was accompanied by the university Librarian, Dr Modupe Aboyade, prayed that those who tested positive for the dreaded pandemic would become negative in no distant time.

He therefore urged all Nigerians to comply with the government’s directives as a potent way to contain the spread of COVID-19.
