Lecturer Arrested for Diversion of Fund

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Friday arraigned a lecturer at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Moses Peter Adoga over alleged diversion of study grant to personal use.

The suspect who is a lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Natural and Applied Science of the State University was arraigned for diverting TETFUND meant for his PhD to personal use.

The anti-graft agency said that a petitioner (whose name was not mentioned) claimed that the suspect obtained a Tertiary Education Trust Fund, (TETFUND) grant to the sum of N19,756,200 millions through Nasarawa State University to study PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Bangor University, the United Kingdom but diverted the money.
