Written by Akeem Alao

Education is the surest route to economic growth. The major significant role education plays is to illuminate darkness . Right to quality education is right to qualified teachers.
One thing we need to acknowledge is that education is not solely formal education. Entrepreneurial and vocational education is equally very essential. Our students are aware of this type of education, but majority of them lack proper guidance on the best way to go about it. Then, the services of education consultants and counsellors become essential. They help discover the vocational and entrepreneurial skill suitable for every individual student and make sure the students are properly guided in their choice of career.

Today, Elvis Boniface, together with his team was at Unity Senior High School at Oshodi,Lagos State to counsel the students on the relevance of entrepreneurial and vocational education to their economic independence in life. To make sure that all students benefitted from this counselling session, Edugist team joined the students at the morning assembly.
It was clearly explained to the students that vocational and entrepreneurial skills are equally needed to accelerate their economic independence.
Some of the skills were listed for the students to choose their favourites. Appropriate steps to take before choosing a skill were taught.
“After the session, the SS 3 students approached us to know if they could start a vocational programme before they write their UTME examination,” Elvis Boniface said.

Edugist gathered that the students were already waiting for this opportunity. They are ready to utilize the one presented to them today.

Edugist is committed to making a significant difference in the academic life of every student.
