The lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo 2 Constituency of Lagos State in the National Assembly, Mr Ganiyu Johnson, has bought 250 forms for candidates in his constituency.
Johnson also sponsored free tutorial lessons for their Computer-Based Test examinations.
The beneficiaries
Speaking on behalf of the lawmaker,his wife, Funke, said, “Engaging the youth and supporting their educational pursuit would make them inculcate good virtues.”
She stated her husband held education in high esteem.
“That was the reason he sponsored the students. Apart from that, he would also give scholarships to five outstanding students in due time,” she stated.
She also stressed that education was the only asset that would take them out of criminality. Not only that, it would as well distance them form other forms of negativity.
“When we engaged people, they would not think negatively. As a father, Johnson wants people to be hardworking.
“We know that when we educate these children, they would no longer think of crime but would think about how to affect society positively,” she added.
