WASSCE 2019: Outstanding Students Receive Scholarship

Imo State governor Emeka Ihedioha has awarded a full academic scholarship to study in any Nigerian university to the two best students from the state in the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The students, Stephany Chizobam Ugboaja and Favor Alozie both scored ‘A1’ in all subjects of their 2019 WASSCE results.

While announcing the scholarship on Wednesday 31st July,2019, Special Assistant to the governor, Izuchukwu, Akwarandu, described the governor’s gesture of sponsoring the students in any university of their choice in the country as a celebration of excellence and hard work.

“The plan of the Ihedioha’s government is to ensure that we give the best to our state and reward excellence and hardwork,” Akwarandu said.

He added that the governor’s recognition would serve as a morale booster to Imo students to attain higher heights of achievements.
